India’s commitment to addressing climate change and promoting clean energy innovation takes center stage as Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh highlights the nation’s efforts to transform its energy landscape. With a focus on advancing clean energy together, the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM14) and 8th Mission Innovation (MI-8) meeting will be held in Goa, India from July 19th to July 22nd, 2023. This prestigious four-day event, coinciding with the G20 Energy Transitions Ministerial Meeting, will gather global leaders, experts, innovators, and policymakers to drive the transition towards clean energy.
CEM14 and MI-8 are dedicated to accelerating the global shift to clean energy through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the development and deployment of clean energy technologies. The agenda includes ministerial dialogues, the launch of global initiatives, awards ceremonies, minister-CEO roundtables, and a diverse range of side events focusing on different aspects of the clean energy transition.
A notable highlight of CEM14/MI-8 will be a technology showcase open to the public, featuring cutting-edge clean energy advancements from India and other participating countries.
